This compact building is composed by two overlapping volumes. The glass and steel upper volume is 8 meter cantilevered, over the concrete base and it protects the entrance while standing out from the area behind it, facing a smaller street.
The upper volume mainly contains sections of the program for general public use, namely hospitalization, while at the lower one can find the technical, diagnostic/medical and surgical departments.
The structure of the circulations based on columns of vertical accesses with stairs and elevators, located in the 4 corners of the entrance atrium. In the back are technical accesses and next to the entrance we find the public accesses.
From arrival floor and from the lobby you can access the sector of Imaging and Special Exams, Consultations, and clinical analyzes.
The sectors with the most complex and technical components of the hospital: Surgical blocks, ICU, Angiography, Laboratory, Clinical Pathology and Ambulatory Surgery are located on the 1st floor while in the 2nd floor there are a large part of the technical areas of the building as well as the Administration offices.
It was decided to dedicate the 3rd floor to the obstetrics bringing together the different sectors namely consultations, obstetric surgical block, pediatrics, and hospitalization.
In the upper floors the hospitalization was organized in a very welcoming environment, but without neglecting all the effectiveness and technical components of the services.
The hospital also has a car park with enough capacity to support all the flow generated by the hospital flow.
